MEN OF VALOUR ON A MISSION!
Mt. 11:12 “From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it.”
We are Men of Valour and we are on a mission. As Jack Groppel says “Your mission is to touch the white fence in 9 minutes, combating the challenges and failure is not an option. Keep your eyes open for snakes and take appropriate action, but above all else complete the mission.”
“Men of Valour” is an open men’s ministry, where real men assemble with a shared desire to commit to seeking God’s purpose for their lifetime. We are motivated by Godly inspiration and through faith and actions use our talents to forcefully advance the kingdom of God. We challenge one another to overcome life’s storms and to embrace a set of values that testify to God’s influence in our lives. Values that place special emphasis on being great dads, loving husbands and influential men who leave a legacy within the communities we live.
We genuinely believe that there is going to be a fresh outpouring of God’s Spirit. As we prepare for this, by identifying our gifts and discovering the dreams that burn within our hearts, we look to position ourselves within our community – ready to serve.
Our mission field is our city and the strategic positions we look to influence are schools, social clubs (sport clubs, performing arts, and libraries), politics, business, the church and our home. We want to position ourselves in the workplace and on various boards within these fields, to help them succeed and to give honour for commitment where it is due. As Bill Johnson says “Our pulpits will be our areas of expertise and Godly favour, where we must be sure to preach only good news, and where necessary, use words.”
Our strategy is both overt and covert. Overt (outward and aggressive), where business owners invite us in to pray for their businesses. Praying against poverty by calling on God to bless the business, for new strategic direction where the economy has changed the rules, for strong leadership that will make those definitive decisions that will re-establish Godly principals for the business. Covert, that is more subtle in nature, where we serve on boards within defined worldly systems to bring about a change of culture by re-establishing proper norms of thought, beliefs, disciplines and relational boundaries.
Here is a testimony from a business owner who is now a “Men of Valour”:
“I had the privilege of being on both sides of the fence a while back when some of the guys from Men of Valour came through to pray for CO3 Technologies where I work.
It was immediately obvious that the guys came through with the intention of taking God at His Word. Firstly He promises to speak to us which He did through specific words of revelation and encouragement. Secondly the power of prayer should not be underestimated; we had excellent results in March and we are trusting God for good results going forward as well.
The following is an extract from the letter I wrote after the meeting:
“Men of Valour are not just talking about forcefully advancing the kingdom, but we are actually stepping out in faith to advance the kingdom. I want to tell you that God will honour the group for what was done, because what was done was a statement of our faith.
Heb 11:6: And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”
