Don’t Sleep Through Your Dreams
When I used to sit next to my dad on the couch watching sport (mostly rugby and boxing), I could feel the energy inside of my dad. Without him knowing it, he would lean in the direction he wanted his team to go or how he wanted his boxer to engage. The movements were small but evident to me, as they often pressed in against me. I could feel the movements as he leaned in or pulled away from me alongside the action going on, on the television.
As I have got older and had my own children, I have been accused of doing the same thing
It’s as if I am living out what I would have done or have done in similar situations; as if the situation forces a response that is natural or maybe even instinctive! It’s as if I should be there, in the game.
When the game is over, my whole body is tingling with excitement. In fact, adrenalin is actually pumping through my body. If called upon at that moment, I would probably be able to ‘explode’ without restraint because I’m pumped!
We need to feel that passion in our everyday lives. Don’t for a minute believe that your present is all that it is and that your future will merely be made up of more of your present. Don’t sleep through your dreams!
What is it that makes you come alive? What pumps adrenalin into your veins? Just maybe God still has a role for you to play in that field.

18 Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, “That’s how many descendants you will have!”[a] 19 And Abraham’s faith did not weaken, even though, at about 100 years of age, he figured his body was as good as dead—and so was Sarah’s womb.
20 Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. 21 He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.
That dream, that hope inside of you which fills your passion bucket may just be the promise God has for you. Don’t lose hope no matter the odds!
