Men of Valour | Men of Valour

I just wanted  to give a bit of a personal message here. I was reflecting while driving to work this morning and got quite emotional. Hope this is not too long. 

As Andre said on Friday night,  The Lord had us all there at Camp Vidal on purpose,  and I am extremely thankful to Him for that, that He has had me all of the time. 

I am also very thankful to the Men of Valour executive and all of you present this weekend. 

The generosity in finances,  equipment, food and snacks, fellowship and time just blew me away.  Thank you every single one of you.  I had a choice of 3 tents to share as just one example and spent good time with every one of you.

Most of you have some idea of where I have been and let me say that apart from what I mentioned above,  every interaction I had with all of you made a huge difference to my healing,  understanding my position in Jesus and my understanding and growth of self. At a time when it would be very easy for me to say I’ve had enough,  I quit,  you have all helped me do the opposite…and grow.  From where I sit,  EVERY interaction was Game Changing!!!

Not just the messages and teachings, which were incredible, but the kindness,  and the banter!!! I am serious by default especially when things get tough, and I could feel my heart softening as the laughter did its work.

But most importantly as I touched on after our Saturday group…. there was such selfless Love for a brother,  and how appropriate it is that as we deal with our spiritual core in those sessions, which is based on 1 Corinthians 13:13 “Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love”, all of you exhibited much of the most important aspect of spiritual core, which is Love. I really needed to honour God for all of you this weekend,  and then all of you for pouring it out.
